Goals and Objectives
The Consortium of African American Public Health Programs/Schools strives to achieve the following goals and associated objectives. To enhance:

a. Public Health Education
i. Develop strategies to ensure accreditation for all members of consortium
ii. Develop a bridge program from baccalaureate to doctoral degree for HBCUs, HACUs, and tribal colleges and universities
iii.Develop faculty teaching and training collaborations
iv.Develop distance learning opportunities for students

b. Advocacy
i.Advocate for equity and justice in outreach, research and service
ii. Market public health principles to improve the health of the underserved

c. Innovative Research
i. Coordinate and develop research collaborations
ii. Develop and establish a biennial research symposium highlighting cutting-edge approaches to eliminating health disparities and promoting social justice.
