Research
Research is conducted to learn more about health problems, how to alleviate them, and how to work with communities to address the myriad of health-related problems. The MSPH Program participates vigorously with the Meharry-Vanderbilt Alliance in which both institutions work together to enhance the educational, scientific, and clinical programs at and between both institutions and to assist with collaborative efforts for undergraduate and graduate medical/health education. Our affiliation with the Colleges of Medicine, and Dentistry and the Clinical Research Center at Meharry also adds strength to our program and creates a remarkable network of opportunities for our graduate students.
Program Overview
The Master of Science in Public Health (MSPH) is offered by the Meharry Medical College School of Graduate Studies and Research. The Program is committed to training students who seek optimal health for people and their communities by way of public health approaches. The MSPH program supports the World Health Organization’s definition of health: “a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being, not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.”
