Dr. Yudan Wei, M.D., M.P.H., Ph.D.
Dr. Yudan Wei is the Coordinator of the Master of Public Health Program in the College of Arts and Sciences at Fort Valley State University.
Dr. Wei received her M..D. and M.P.H. degrees from School of Public Health, Harbin Medical University, China, and earned her Ph.D. degree in toxicological genetics from Stockholm University, Sweden. She then completed her postdoctoral work at the Department of Environmental Health, University of Cincinnati. Dr. Wei is currently an Assistant Professor of Public Health and the Coordinator of MPH Program at Fort Valley State University. She has been working in the area of environmental health and toxicology for over fifteen years with numerous publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals and presentations at national and international conferences.
Her research areas are environmental exposures and human health effects, molecular mechanisms of toxicity, receptor-dependent regulation of gene expression, bioremediation, and health disparity. Dr. Wei has been conducting multiple community health research and service addressing health disparity issues and environmental risk factors for chronic diseases in the community.
